Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, eggs, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and salt. Mix with your hands until blended and sticky.
- Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the chicken mixture into a thin circle, about 1/4-inch thick.
Baking
- Bake the bare chicken crust for about 20 minutes, until golden at the edges.
- Remove from oven, spread your favorite sauce on the crust, add cheese and any additional toppings.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5 to 10 minutes to melt the cheese.
Notes
For a crispy crust, squeeze out excess liquid from the ground chicken before mixing. Sprinkle a bit of extra Parmesan on the crust for added flavor. You can substitute ground chicken with turkey or shredded rotisserie chicken as variations.
